1968 Motorized Park-A-Matic In Original Box

1968 Motorized Park-A-Matic In Original Box

Manufactured in Japan for "Child Guidance this "Motorized Park-A-Matic" has never even been played with, never been taken out of the original box, and it's in flawless factory mint condition!

The toy represents a four story parking garage which accommodate Hot Wheels type vehicles. It's a battery operated toy with multiple push button and manual entrance and exit levers. Once a car is loaded up the ramp and into the elevator, your buttoning sequence can move it up, down, or diagonally! Levers on the outside of the elevator can then be used to slide in, or exit the vehicle. I found only one reference for the toy; the 1968 Sears-Roebuck Christmas catalog! It uses two C-cell batteries.

As I mentioned the toy has never been taken out of the original box. The original rubber bands are still holding the parts securely to the inserts. It comes housed in a large white cardboard box. This interior box has its own top flaps and inserts.

It also has its original (complex) 9-step instruction sheet printed on heavy stock glossy paper. As with the contents, the instructions are in perfect condition.

The box cover was printed with a full color photo which repeats on all four box aprons. The cover top has a different photograph showing blurred movement of cars in the process of being parked (see last box photo). It's an old style full-length cover. So be very careful and patient when you remove it or it can easily tear.

Oh, and it still has its original $12 price sticker marked down to $6.00 on one box corner.
